Ed Kostek

Ed Kostek is a Massachusetts native and has been the trombone player for the Prescription since its inception, occasionally doubling on guitar or mandolin. Ed has performed in various settings across the United States ranging from clubs and concert halls in numerous big bands, jazz combos, and pit orchestras to local music festivals on guitar and vocals. He has performed on several local access television series and completed a full length multi-genre solo album entitled 'Dichotomy' in 2007 which he composed, arranged, produced, and recorded independently. Ed has had the opportunity to perform the national anthem for major league baseball's Anaheim Angels, and has shared the stage with such notables as jazz giant George Garzone and Motown legends the Four Tops. In his day life, Ed is a doctor of physical therapy and orthopedic clinical specialist in Western Massachusetts, and is a clinical director for Special Olympics Massachusetts Healthy Athletes.
